Exploring Hotel Consuelo (Part 1)

Want to visit Pangasinan? Experience the beauty of the fantastic province; going around to its wonderful tourist destinations, know its culture and get close to its people? Yes, everyone is free to visit the province.

Of course, food and accommodation are next after the visitation. At the heart of the province, you can find this hotel, resort and restaurant. It has also a bakeshop and salad house. Combination of yellow and green is the signature color of the establishment. Its name was, Hotel Consuelo Resort and Chinese Restaurant.

When you are the very famous Pangasinan Provincial Capitol, considered as the best capitol in the Philippines, just in front of the capitol complex (west portion) is the Hotel Consuelo Resort and Chinese Resto.  Syempre, after the experience at the capitol and you are feeling hungry, the Hotel Consuelo and Chinese Resto is open for you. The Resto offers Filipino and Chinese cuisines. You want heavy lunch or dinner? Or light meriendas? For sure, it was listed in their menu. The menus were made of pork, chicken, beef, veggies and seafoods. Some of these were adobo, kare-kare, lechon-paksiw and many more pagpipilian. You want merienda? The best seller of the resto is the seafood pancit. Spaghetti and pizza were also included in the menu. The look of each food will tell the taste already. Tingin pa lang, masarap na.

Pangasinan hosts Palarong Pambansa 2012

Pangasinan – host of Palarong Pambansa 2012, the Philippines’ biggest annual scholastic athletic competition that will be held at Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Complex (NRSCC), Lingayen on May 6-12.

                Pangasinan won the hosting of Palarong Pambansa 2012 against the three contenders, the province of Laguna, Occidental Mindoro and the City of Marikina after a final presentation.

                According to the Department of Education Evaluation Team, the selection of the host of the Palarong Pambansa 2012 is based on the preparedness of the province, its playing venues, billeting schools and the main venue or the sports complex.

                Palarong Pambansa was hosted by the province of Pangasinan last 1995. It was during the term of Former President Fidel V. Ramos, a native Pangasinense.

BINMALEY: My Home, My Pride

        Binmaley is my hometown and my pride. Though I was born in the City of San Carlos, my heart and soul truly loves Binmaley. My parents were both Binmaleyans. I am twenty years old now and I lived my entire life here in simplicity and full of hope.

        Binmaley has a total of 33 barangays. Binmaley has really something to be proud of. Aside from its people, there are places that can make any visitors wow and amaze. The historical Our Lady of Purification Parish, the very grandiose Binmaley Presidencia and very green and refreshing Binmaley Plaza will take your breath away because of its cleanliness and great architecture. The Binmaley Beach surely captivates you because of its crystal blue water. The local products like Brgy. Malindong’s furniture and wood crafts, Brgy. Parayao’s clay pots and the town’s wide varieties of sea foods make the town to be well known. A festival named "Sigay Festival" was built because of the mass production of sea foods in the Binmaley. In addition, a title called “The Sea Food Capital of the North” was owned by the municipality.

Binmaley is located at the center of two well known places in Pangasinan; the Capital Town, Lingayen and the Bangus Capital of the Philippines, Dagupan City.
